Edit Special Offer
This page allows administrators to edit an existing Special Offer.
You access this screen by selecting Edit on a Special Offer from the Packages → Special Offers listing page.
How to Access This Page
- Navigate to Admin → Packages
- Select the Special Offers section
- Click the Edit (✏️) action on a special offer
You will be redirected to the Edit Special Offer screen.
Page Layout Overview
The page is divided into two primary sections:
- Left Panel – Offer content and image management
- Right Panel – Live preview, publishing, and booking rules
Breadcrumbs at the top indicate your current location and allow navigation back to the Special Offers list.
Left Panel – Offer Content
Banner Image Management
This section controls the main banner image for the special offer.
Available actions:
- Select Image – Choose a new image from your device
- Upload – Upload the selected image and apply it to the offer
- Cancel – Remove the selected image before uploading
Image preview behaviour:
- Displays the newly selected image (if chosen)
- Otherwise shows the existing offer image
- If no image exists, a No Banner Image placeholder is shown
The offer title is overlaid on the banner when an image is present.
Basic Offer Information
Edit the main offer details:
- Title – Primary name of the offer
- Subtitle – Supporting text shown with the title
- Destination – Travel destination
- Price – Starting price per person (numeric value)
Changes update the preview in real time.
Inclusions
Rich text editor for listing what the offer includes, such as:
- Flights
- Accommodation
- Transfers
- Meals
Each inclusion is displayed in the offer preview under THIS INCLUDES.
Extras
Optional additional benefits, for example:
- Free visa
- Bonus luggage
- Complimentary services
Extras enhance the value of the offer but are optional.
Right Panel – Preview, Publishing & Rules
Special Offer Preview
A live preview shows how the offer will appear to users:
- Banner image
- Price display (FROM R XXX PPS)
- Inclusions list
- Call-to-action button (Book Now)
- Booking rules strip at the bottom
This preview updates automatically as you edit the form.
Publish Toggle
At the top of the preview panel is the Publish / Unpublish toggle.
- Published – Offer is visible to users
- Unpublished – Offer is hidden from users
Changing this toggle immediately updates the offer status.
Booking Rules
Booking Dates
Control offer availability using the date selectors:
- Book By – Last date customers can book this offer
- Travel Until – Final date customers may travel
These dates are displayed in the preview and on the live site.
Booking Rule Flags
Use the checkboxes to apply booking conditions:
- Blackout dates apply – Certain dates are excluded
- Price subject to change – Pricing disclaimer is shown
- Terms & conditions apply – Terms disclaimer is shown
When enabled, these rules appear in the booking rules section of the offer.
Unsaved Changes Protection
If you attempt to leave this page with unsaved changes:
- A warning dialog will appear
- You can choose to:
- Stay and continue editing
- Leave and discard changes
This ensures changes are not lost accidentally.
Best Practices
- Upload high-quality banner images
- Keep titles short and destination-focused
- Ensure prices are accurate before publishing
- Always verify booking dates
- Review the preview before publishing
